German Embassy and UNIDAS
The foundation Mujeres en Paz Colombia was invited to this event, promoted by the German Embassy, in which the management results of the RED DE MUJERES UNIDAS, an organization whose objective is:
“the equal participation of women in politics, society, culture, media, science and economy”. To this end, Unidas connects women and women’s movements in Latin America, the Caribbean and Germany and strengthens them in their commitment to equality and women’s rights”.
During the event, the foundation was able to play an active role as moderator, but above all, it was able to join forces with other entities around the vision of the protection of women’s rights.
Several key entities for women’s human rights participated, among them UN-Women, Corporación Internacional, the Goethe Institute, Sisma Mujeres, the Former Truth Commission, Mujeres Moviendo el Mundo, Coljuristas, El Espectador and Ecopetrol.
This synergy of entities around this noble objective seeks to strengthen the prevention of violence against women, as well as to consolidate their participation in politics, multiplying their knowledge and giving them a voice.
