"Spuren hinterlassen" Resilience, Peace and Nature: Historical Memory and Social Work from the territory of deep Colombia.
Summary
Colombia, a country of lush biodiversity and beauty from the Andes to the Amazon, has faced decades of war and violence. Yet it is also a country with an innate capacity for resilience and reconstruction, in which nature and a deep desire for peace intertwine to forge a future for the next generation. Peace creates an enabling environment for biodiversity protection and conservation opportunities.
The documentary project ‘Resilience, Peace and Nature’ is born with the vision of rescuing the narratives of Colombian communities in their search for peace through the lens of audiovisual social work and historical memory, in harmony with nature.
The documentary focuses on the experiences of communities deeply affected by the armed conflict and violence, who managed to resist and rebuild their lives in the territory, in harmony with nature. Social Work plays a key role in this process, because one of its principles is to defend Human Rights and seek Social Justice. From the voices of the post-conflict territory, historical memory is created and the resilience and strength of the population is seen. Audiovisual documentation is used as a valuable tool for raising awareness in society and as a tool for the humanities.
